NVIDIA on Thursday took the envelope GeForce 3D Vision, its first 3D stereoscopic system for home users. The add-on is a combination of a set of glasses with a USB-attached infrared transmitter and a number of new screens to generate 3D images for games, movies and videos without blurring or flickering which often slips into stereoscopic configurations. It supports multiple configurations Thursday and runs with two card SLI configurations without.
The configuration is also partly independent software. While support should be added in most cases, NVIDIA notes that the update of its own 3-D effect adds to 300 games without pushing developers patch their games each. The company also claimed Thursday that its certification already factors in the GeForce 3D Vision and many other 3D titles will be in support of the profession.

Time for a mystery unit is now known as a processor platform based on the concept of very large scale, based on a database known as the core elements: the “Stem Cell” element teasers rather refers to a possibility repurpose one of the cores for a particular job . The process mimics the unified shader processors for video and is said to be super-like acceleration, without the need for a large processor or a large amount of energy.
The first is the Zii ZMS-05 chip, a system-on-a-chip design consisting of two ARM cores with integrated controllers. Although not individually strong, a large number of processors that can be combined to achieve a lot faster. An example of the system known as a teraflops Accelerator gets its name from floating-point calculations per second, while those less space of letter paper and use less energy than a typical desktop computer. Creative believes that the platform can scale to the petaflop range downward for peatlands.
The ZMS-05 is already in production and will soon lead to the production of material from other companies, including well-known hardware manufacturer MSI. It is not known whether any of these will be available to users at home or what their role. Creative has not announced any plans for the production of finished products through its own Zii of the foundation.

T-Mobile this morning to the voluntary use CES as the place for a trio of new phones for its network. The company during the long Shadow update includes full design, but it continues to follow the same basic philosophy of a jogwheel and a slide-out keyboard type Sure. The new model is built in Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity)HotSpot with professionals and includes a 260MHz processor speed to help feed its Windows Mobile 6.1.

The phone also has a 2 megapixel camera, a microSD slot, EDGE and GSM on its cellular network. As before, T-Mobile to adapt the software and includes a hook for myFaves and IM clients for pre-tensioning device AIM, ICQ, Windows Live and Yahoo. T-Mobile hopes Shadow ship in 2009 in two colors on January 28, but gave no price.

The carrier is also to its own version of the Nokia 7510 Supernova. T-Mobile edition is close to the 2-megapixel flip phone reference design, but adds Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) hotspots and Calling myFaves functionality. Several specific supplier swappable facades will be available when the phone is available in the coming weeks “at a specified price.

Basic phone users with the latest phone in the presentation. The Samsung T119 has only to work and the tires of the airplane and most other supplements, the data only through GPRS. The candybar design is scheduled for release around February and again is priceless.

AMD was the start of the conference with the official debut of the Phenom II, his first major processor 45 nanometers. The upgrade is based on the same basis “Shanghai” Opteron recent architecture and offers a speed of about 20 percent during the last best pulse 2.6GHz chip through changes associated with an optimized design with more detailed instructions processed per clock cycle, 4 MB cache extra total, and support for DDR3 memory at 1333MHz Intel competing systems. The design is now much more tolerant of the high clock speed and will continue to 3 GHz in stock trim.
Reflecting a new focus Thursday AMD is a new grouping, the usefulness of a simplified overclocking with its highest-end model, en tout a large number of options for higher speeds. The chip is capable of so much 4GHz based on the fan, the company claims. Exotic overclocking using liquid nitrogen to the system to 6GHz or more; Core i7 and material support from the older generations can not reach this point, because they physically limited by a cold bug “that prevents them fall below a certain temperature, according AMD representative Simon Solotko.
When asked why the system is Intel 3.2GHz despite room for faster clock speeds, the official statement that the need for the chip to run at regular specifications without problems. Yet it is widely seen by some observers that the move is a deliberate attempt to avoid any race clock Intel, which saw the two companies ramp rates up to their limit.
The design is also reported that more than 30 to 40 percent more power at peak load. despite its 125W ceiling, and the plan to work with a 790GX chipset motherboard (mainboard) as part of a platform combined nicknamed “Dragon“. The new Union is not only a 3.6GHz or faster, faster Hyper Transport (interface) bus, but also for better integration of images that can be used in a way to stop the Hybrid CrossFire video dedicated to saving energy with lighter loads.
Taking design is compatible and works on many games in the series 780-use of DDR2 memory simply by applying a firmware update. AMD claims that users have the option to upgrade to new models and get 790GX performance DDR3 architecture and other changes without replacing the transformer.
AMD‘s first Phenom II chip is available today and the introduction of a 2.8GHz Phenom X4 II 920 to $ 235 in large lots for PC makers. The flagship model of 3Ghz 940 is locked for overclocking and costs $ 275 in similar quantities. Retail kits are likely to cost more.
The introduction of vital importance for AMD, which has difficulties to maintain its competitiveness with Intel and had to abandon its forecast for this year by 25 percent that Intel maintains a current leyden performance in both desktops and laptops. Phenom II should not only AMD‘s competitiveness in the implementation, but also to win on price, according Solotko a typical mother for the new equipment Gigabyte or any of its rivals will cost about $ 140, about half of the minimum cost of entry for a Core i7 motherboard(Mainboard).
Solotko rejects notions that Intel Hyperthreading, which can sometimes make use of two program threads on a single core, is always the best for the games it supports, rather than the platform in conjunction with the focus on the effectiveness of the core chips, and the use of the latest video cards support general computing, need to be in general.

“Throwing threads games will not solve the problem,” he said, referring to Intel technology.

STMicroelectronics announced the availability of two new 2048-bit ‘long term’ RFID memory products that are fully compliant with ISO / IEC 15693 and ISO / IEC 18000-3 Mode 1 RFID standards to control applications.

The use of 2048-bit memory LRI2K and LRIS2K has been driven by demand for more memory in the cost of the general purpose of RFID applications and data storage and security. The new devices are particularly suited for market segments such as access control, library automation and supply chain management, as well as anti-counterfeiting of sensitive products such as pharmaceuticals and high value.

One of the devices, the LRIS2K, also offers an innovative password feature for additional protection. Each memory block in the device can be individually ‘profiled’ using one of three available passwords. Security profile provides a high degree of flexibility and allows different parts of the supply chain to control different segments of memory.

Both the LRI2K and LRIS2K the 2 Kbits of electrically erasable memory (EEPROM), with a chip RF interface to the standard HF (high frequency) carrier frequency 13.56. Offering high-speed data rate capabilities, an application reading range of up to 1.5 m, and the benefits of 13.56 based on RFID technology, including high reliability and low cost of RFID reader, both devices are very suitable for item – level of labeling, when the security, inventory speed, and tag size are relevant requirements.

Moreover, because of their on-chip tuning capacity, LRI2K and LRIS2K also the design of very small antennas, thus saving space and making them suitable for use with small objects, including bottles of drugs in the pharmaceutical industry.

“These two new products are an important addition to ST high frequency RFID product range,” said Francis Dell’ova, ST RFID Business Unit Manager. “They confirm our commitment to offer a wide HF and UHF product portfolio and meet the increasing market demand for devices with larger user memories and more security.”

Both devices offer 2048 EEPROM user bits with block lock capability (32 bits per block), 64-bit unique identifier (UID) associated with the ISO-compliant collision mechanism internal tuning capacitor, and KILL function. The memory is divided into 64 blocks of 32 bits, and each block can be individually write-protected using a Lock command that prevents any subsequent modification of the data. In addition, a 64-bit read-only UID block and an 8-bit Application Family Identifier Code of the identification of the device, and an 8-bit Data Storage Family Identifier register stores data for the anti-collision. Thank you for their unrivaled reading range, an Electrical Article Surveillance (EAS) feature can be carried out at the point of sale applications.

Built in ST is very reliable and mature CMOS technology with embedded EEPROM, and only 40 years of data retention, the LRI2K and LRIS2K are very suitable for large quantities of cost markets, and the reliability of these segments sensitive automotive and electronics .

Samples of the LRI2K and LRI2SK are now available, with volume production expected in July 2006. Both devices can be delivered in various formats, including a thin-sawn wafers, sawn and came wafers, ultra-thin MLP8 2x3mm package, or as inlays. LRI2K pricing is U.S. $ 0095 in volume quantities.

Round Solutions - Pocket-size Linux PC offers GPS and GPRSThe AarLogic C10 / 3, a map on a PC running Linux on an area of only 104mm x 63mm, was introduced by Round Solutions. A quad-band GPRS and GPS module SiRF3 are also on board and USB interfaces, RS232 and Ethernet components. An SD card reader allows the expansion without the problem of 4 MB of RAM that comes as standard.

The heart of the PC is two ARM processors, which is responsible for a share, for the GSM component, and other executable applications for embedded Linux. The module processor, including the GSM component, is also available for purchase separately. Despite its small size – about the size of a box of matches – 160-pin offers a wide range of connectivity options. In addition to keyboards, digital cameras and playback devices, as well as Wireless LAN, Bluetooth and GPS units, says the company.

According to Harald Naumann, technical director of the Round Solutions, the new platform is ideal for the extension of self-surveillance and monitoring systems, which are capable of much more than simple transfer of data Because of the Linux Intelligence “-” In combination with a camera and environmental sensors, applications for recognition of complex shapes, for example, can be performed directly on the board. As the geographical coordinates are transmitted wirelessly, the Board of Directors is reserved for mobile use. “
