NVIDIA GeForce 3D Vision

NVIDIA on Thursday took the envelope GeForce 3D Vision, its first 3D stereoscopic system for home users. STMicroelectronics announced the availability of two new 2048-bit ‘long term’ RFID memory products that are fully compliant with ISO / IEC 15693 and ISO / IEC 18000-3 Mode 1 RFID standards to control applications.

The use of 2048-bit memory LRI2K and LRIS2K has been driven by demand for more memory in the cost of the general purpose of RFID applications and data storage and security. The new devices are particularly suited for market segments such as access control, library automation and supply chain management, as well as anti-counterfeiting of sensitive products such as pharmaceuticals and high value.

One of the devices, the LRIS2K, also offers an innovative password feature for additional protection. Each memory block in the device can be individually ‘profiled’ using one of three available passwords. Security profile provides a high degree of flexibility and allows different parts of the supply chain to control different segments of memory.

Both the LRI2K and LRIS2K the 2 Kbits of electrically erasable memory (EEPROM), with a chip RF interface to the standard HF (high frequency) carrier frequency 13.56. Antenex, a unit of Laird Technologies, introduced its Phantom Elite mobile antenna for fixed and mobile applications.

The indoor and outdoor antenna features patented True Field Diversity technology that provides both vertical and horizontal polarization in a low profile, sleek design. The devices are used in public safety, taxis and vehicles, as well as WiFi (Wireless Fidelity)applications.
